About us

The School is owned and managed by the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum. One of the primary apostolate of the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum concerns its service in the field of education. For the last 86 years, the Major Archdiocese has been rendering excellent service to the society by providing quality education to thousands of students across the nation. Its goal in educational undertakings has always been something more than the ordinary and the mediocre. It is an undeniable fact that the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum has tried to reach out to all sections of the society through its educational institutions in providing value based education for higher order thinking skills like critical and analytical thinking, evaluation and application.

Sarvodaya Central Vidyalaya (CBSE) is a sister institution of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya (ICSE) established on June 3, 2002 by the Late Major Arch Bishop and Catholicos His Beautitude Moran Mor Cyril Baselios. On April 1, 2003 the school got affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (No. CBSE affiliation 930467). On January 22, 2007, + 2 Course was sanctioned (AISSCE) offering admission to Science & Humanities group.

Patron

His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis Catholicos, the Major Archbishop of Trivandrum is the patron of the school. The school functions under the Malankara Catholic Educational Society, which is a registered Society for the unaided CBSE Schools in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum. The Syllabus followed in the School is that of NCERT, supervised and guided by the Central Board of Secondary Education which is widely adopted all over the country and abroad.

The school provides each student the best educational formation based on fundamental human values helping to develop a wholesome personality emphasizing on intellectual, physical, moral and spiritual growth in making the student self reliant to become the ideal citizens of the country.
