Academic Year

The Academic Year starts in May and ends in March. All public holidays are holidays for the school. Termly holidays are given during Thiru Onam, Christmas and Mid summer. Please see the Calendar Section for details.


Application forms and prospectus are issued from the office in March of the academic year.

The Principal reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason.

Admission to all classes are strictly restricted to the number of vacancies arising in each class every year. Separate application forms will be issued for such admissions and a selection test will be conducted on a date announced at the end of every academic year. There will be no new admissions to Standard IX and X

Students seeking admission from other states or countries should produce Transfer Certificates countersigned by competent educational authorities/embassies of the state or country.

Note: Relaxation in age limit will not be granted.


  • There will be two Summative examinations a year, other than four Formative Assessments and regular tests.
  • Please refer to the Calendar Section for the dates of each examination and the dates on which Progress Reports are issued to the students.
  • Each Unit test will be based on the portion taught just before that examination and after the previous examination. The papers will be of maximum one hour duration.
  • Each Summative Examination will be based on portions taught till that examination from the beginning of the term.
  • The Model Examination for Std XII will be based on the complete syllabus as prescribed by the CBSE.
  • The 1st Summative and 2nd Summative examinations of Std IX and X will be based on syllabus prescribed by the CBSE.
  • Parents are advised to watch the progress of their children very closely, consult the teachers and take their advice whenever necessary.
  • Answer papers of all examinations (except the final exam) will be sent to the parents for their scrutiny, signature and return. This gives the parents sufficient opportunity to watch the performance of their children.
  • Weekly Test Papers will be conducted for Std X & XII from the first week of June.


  • Promotion to a higher class is based on a student’s overall performance in the various examinations conducted during the year. Please see the Report Card for details.
  • Results are declared at the end of every academic year and are final in all cases. Results will be with-held if fees are not paid for all the 12 months of the year.
  • The promotion lists will be put on the School notice board. Results will not be communicated to the parents or students by any other means.
  • Note: Requests for review of the results will not be entertained.


  • Advance application signed by the parent or guardian is required for withdrawing a student from the school.
  • If a pupil is admitted to or withdrawn from the school in the middle of a term, tuition fee for the whole term should be paid.
  • Transfer Certificate will be issued only after all dues are cleared and all books returned to the library.
  • The Principal may ask a parent/guardian to withdraw a child, if the child does not comply with the discipline of the school or is incapable of coping up with the curriculum.

School Uniforms

BOYS: White shirt with half sleeves and navy blue pants, navy blue socks and black shoes. Low waist pants are not permitted and shirts should be tucked in.

GIRLS: Check pattern midi skirt and white pleated shirt from standard V to XII. In all cases the shirt should be tucked in. The pattern of the dress should be exactly like the samples prescribed by the School. Girls should wear Navy blue socks and black shoes. Short hair i.e. hair above the shoulder level should be neatly brushed and tied with a band. Long hair should be plaited into two and banded at the ends. The hair-bands used should be of white or black colour. Students should wear small studs. Students are not allowed to use nail polish.
